BLOG INFORMATION

To access the BLOG ARCHIVE, please navigate to the right-hand side of your screen and scroll down to find it. When using the archive, be mindful of the references/resources organized by year. For the year 2020 onwards, you'll find references that are exclusively related to the new syllabus of 0400. These resources are invaluable for staying up-to-date with the latest curriculum and materials. For the years 2019 and those prior, you can still make use of the content for its work quality, innovative ideas, and sources of inspiration. These older references can be especially helpful for crafting ideas and guidelines to support your Component 2 ESA (new syllabus) endeavors.

Artists and Designers

 Hello all,

Here one good read  I took from a reference book, National 5 Art & Design. You may want to go through the points with your students.

Cheers!

The process of sending off the Art & Design IGCSE 0400 Component 1 & 2 work to Caie. What to do and how I do it at my school.

Hello to all my visitors!

I want to share how I process Component 1 & 2 to be courier off to Caie for the June Exam 2021. I hope it'll benefit all of you, especially those new in this area.

Please be aware that you can get the guideline from the Caie website. If you registered at Support Hub, you can also check it out or ask a question at the Forum section, where many educators and administrators could help you.

I'll attach the pictures for better understanding and shall briefly explain them at each step.

Step 1

I used ringer for Component 1 - Coursework and string for Component 2 - ESA to attach all the work for each student. You can use anything as long as all the work tied together neatly.

We are supposed to paste the label on our right top side. I put the Final Piece on top of supporting studies (or you can call it preparation work); then, I attached the Declaration Form on the left side. Please see the photos above. Arrange them according to the name list given by Caie. In between students' work, I put a blank paper (something I use recycled paper) to secure the work from one to another.

Component 1 & Component 2

In between of students' work, I secure them with a blank paper. The top of the work, I put the Attendance List.

Step 2

Before we proceed with the work inside the white plastic given by Caie, we secured the work with bubble wrap. Please see the attachment photos. Remember to place the Attendance List on top of the work.

Component 1 & Component 2 (Please separate the work according to the Component)

Step 3

Then, we slot the work into white plastic, Caie white plastic. The Attendance List, Labels, Stickers, and other necessary documents will be sent to the school by the end of March to early April. If you send your students' work to the exam centre, do check or get the information about the process from the centre itself.

We also need to write the information about our school at the white plastics and paste the bar code sticker in the big box below.

Component 1 & 2. On top of Component 1 plastic, we attached Cover Letter from your school. Just to stated that these are the work from our students for the June Series 2021. A brief Cover Letter. If your school did not practice this, that's fine too.

Step 4

We stacked the 2 sets of work together, and we wrapped them with brown paper. Please see the photos. Also, the Cover Letter I mentioned earlier, we attached on top of the first plastic. Please don't get confused. Before we wrapped with the brown paper, the Cover Letter is on the plastic. Why brown paper? It's for the courier process purposes, and also, we want to make it neater as we stacked 2 work into 1 package.

Step 5

We use DHL Malaysia, and here another photo for your reference.

Ready to 'fly' to Caie!
