I would like to relay information sourced from the Forum (Cambridge Support Hub) regarding a significant change in the submission process for Art & Design syllabuses starting in 2025, as shared by Kerry Liptrot.
From 2025 onwards, we will no longer use courier services to send our students' work to Cambridge. If you encounter difficulties accessing the Support Hub website, I've included the information below for your convenience. This should give you a clearer understanding of the process required when submitting students' work.

The submission process for Art & Design syllabuses is changing from 2025:

What’s changing in the way we submit Art & Design work to Cambridge?
We are making changes to the way you submit the work to Cambridge for marking.
• From 2025, you will need to submit photographs or scans of your candidates’ work for Cambridge IGCSE Art & Design (0400), Cambridge IGCSE (9-1) Art & Design (0989), Cambridge O level Art & Design (6090), Cambridge International AS & A Level Art & Design (9479).
• We will no longer accept hard copy submission.
What has changed?
The syllabus specification and assessment objectives have not changed, the way you submit the work has changed.
The work produced for Component 1 and Component 2 will still be expected to demonstrate evidence across all assessment objectives as detailed in the syllabus.
The work your candidates produce for Component 1 and Component 2 is unchanged and your candidates continue to produce work in the same format as they have done previously. At the end of the course, the supporting work on A2 sheets and the final outcome on A2 sheet can be scanned or photographed and submitted digitally on Submit for Assessment.
You will need to retain the work at the centre until the end of the Enquiries about Results period has ended and also in case there are any problems with the quality of digital images.
In this case, the digital images of the work produced for Component 1 and Component 2 should consist of high resolution scans or photographs of the A2 supporting studies and the final outcomes on A2.
The scans or photographs will provide evidence for the assessment of the work and it is your responsibility to ensure the scans or photographs are high quality.

Work for Component 1 and Component 2 can be presented in either format.
Alternatively, candidates can present their work in a digital format such as a PowerPoint presentation. Presenting the work in a digital format does not mean that all the work included needs to be created digitally. Candidates can still include traditional approaches, such as painting and drawing but it gives a more flexible approach particularly where candidates are using a mixture of techniques including digital techniques such as photoshop. In this case instead of recording all the work at the end of the course, candidates could insert files, images and text into a PowerPoint as the work progresses.

How do I request the return of Art & Design work?
From 2025, you will no longer be able to request the Return of Art & Design work.
Guidance for Teachers
There must be separate submissions from each candidate for each component. Candidates must not present the same work for both components. Work for each component should demonstrate evidence across of the assessment objectives as indicated in the syllabus.
The work for each component should be submitted in chronological order, so that the sequence of the development of work leading up to the final outcome can be followed by the examiner.
Where candidates are producing work on A2 supporting sheets and an A2 final outcome, teachers are instructed to place the supporting studies in the order that the work has developed, with the final outcome on top. The work should be clearly labelled before they are scanned or photographed. The first sheet to be scanned or photographed should be from the bottom of the pile with the final outcome being the last sheet to be scanned or photographed.
In this case the teachers will scan or photograph each of the A2 sheets for each Component. All handwriting must be legible and easy to read.
It is the responsibility of the centre to ensure that the scans and photographs are good quality.
You are not required to have the work professionally scanned or photographed but you should take note of the following in order to produce the best quality scans and photographs as possible.
Photographs should be taken straight on and not at an angle.
Good lighting and avoid glare.
Make sure that the images are in focus and any writing is clear.
All the work mounted on the A2 sheet must be visible.
Use a plain background.
Do not crop, adjust, balance or re-size the scans and photographs.
Work submitted in a digital format should be no more than 20 slides if in PowerPoint and they should also be recorded in chronological order with the final outcome being the last in the sequence seen by the examiner.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all submissions are high quality and allow for the work to be assessed. If the images you submit are poor quality or cannot be viewed then you will be asked to provide additional material and this could delay the assessment process.
