These resources are invaluable for staying up-to-date with the latest curriculum and materials. For the years 2019 and those prior, you can still make use of the content for its work quality, innovative ideas, and sources of inspiration. Old mock exam samples for Paper 1 (old syllabus of 0400)

Dear teachers, parents and students,

Thank you for visiting my art blog. Appreciate it a lot!
I randomly update due to P&C of the exam pieces, however, once the Art & Design IGCSE results is out, I'll post the visual outcome from my students.

For the new syllabus 0400 (2020-2022), we, unfortunately, don't have an exam due to Covid19 but we do need to submit the grades to Cambridge.
I have amazing samples from this batch (June 2020) which two of them I graded A*. I just need to wait for the green light from my Principal and confirmation grade given to Cambridge, then I shall share the work here.

The new syllabus consists of 2 papers
Coursework (Paper 1/Component 1)
and
ESA (Paper 2/Component 2)

I know some of my visitors here left the message at the comment box below but if you really need to reach me faster than this platform please DM me at @artandfeeda (Instagram) or you can email me at msfeeda@yahoo.com or msfeeda@gmail.com ?

By the way, as I look at my collection folder of students work, I would like to share this old mock exam when the student was in Year 10 - Paper 1 question - 2014

Again, these samples were from the school mock exam. Hope the samples could give you some ideas in layout arrangement, media used and the flow of ideas of her's.

Thank you and have a great day!

Appreciated it.

I am now communicating (via email) with some of students from Lagos, teachers from everywhere especially when they are new to Art & IGCSE syllabus and exam. Please be patient with me, I'll try my best to reply each of your email ya.

Thank  you.

*****************

Currently I am busy with  a lot of things at school. 😇

However, today I am going to share Eriza's work. She is Year10 student and we did Observational Studies by exploring things around us, nature or man-made.

My aims for the task - just to enhance the students basic foundation in drawing/painting skills, as well as giving them an exposure and guidance for mixed media exploration. Also, the students are going to take Art & Design IGCSE for June 2020 exam, so this task is important for them to get as much as exposure in doing prep work.

Our term 1 was quite short, so I only planned 2 preparation sheets for my students to do, plus 1 final piece.

If you have any question, you can email me at msfeeda@yahoo.com

Here is one sample from my student, Eleanor - Y10 (internal) mock exam, Paper 1. This is the first time the student experience doing the preparation work and a final piece and she did well. So proud of her.

The student was exposed, explored and experimented with various media such as pencils, charcoal, Chinese Ink, pen, soft pastel, watercolour, colour pencils, white gel pen and all on the different mixed media surface.

Broad-based Assignment (Paper 1) Preparation 1 samples #workinprogress of my Year10 (Grade10) Mock Exam

Dear art educators and students,

For the mock exam this term, I just prepared 3 questions for the students to choose which one they are going to do for their exam. You can refer to the picture of what subject they are exploring. All these samples are work-in-progress. Shall share more when all finished, 4 preparation sheet of work and final piece.

Preparation 1, I usually guide them to write the 'Introduction' why the choose the question, what is the aim of their work and what are the subject matter involved in the work. Other than that, I'll guide the students to find one artist or inspiration to refer to and try to recopy the artist's technique because they will use that method and try to apply for one of their subject matter or picture.

That's all for now, do comment or email me if you would want to know more or if you have anything to ask about Paper 1 Art & Design 0400 IGCSE.

Thanks.
